英語(yǔ)中的動(dòng)詞、代詞和形容詞等也可以轉(zhuǎn)譯為漢語(yǔ)的名詞。

1. 動(dòng)詞轉(zhuǎn)譯為名詞

a. Boiling point is defined as the temperature at which the vapor pressure is equal to that of the atmosphere.

沸點(diǎn)的定義就是氣壓等于大氣壓時(shí)的溫度。

b. Tests showed that the cooling air must flow at a rate of at least 17m/s.

實(shí)驗(yàn)表明，冷卻空氣的流速至少應(yīng)為17m/s。（動(dòng)詞flow轉(zhuǎn)譯為名詞）

c. Black holes act like huge drains in the universe.

黑洞的作用像宇宙中巨大的吸管。（動(dòng)詞act轉(zhuǎn)譯為名詞）?

2. 代詞轉(zhuǎn)譯為名詞

所謂的代詞轉(zhuǎn)譯為名詞，實(shí)際上就是將代詞所代替的名詞翻譯出來，我們也可稱之為“還原”。如：

d. The radioactivity of the new element is several million times stronger than that of uranium.

這種新元素的放射性比鈾的放射性強(qiáng)幾百萬(wàn)倍。

e. This means the permittivity of oil is greater than that of air.

這就意味著油的介電系數(shù)大于空氣的介電系數(shù)。

3. 形容詞轉(zhuǎn)譯為名詞
