鑒于貴方根據(jù)與（申請人名稱）（以下簡稱合同方） 于X年x月x日簽署的第xx號合同的有關(guān)條款的規(guī)定，在收到合同方提供的有關(guān)預(yù)付貨款保函后，將向合同方預(yù)付（預(yù)付金額）作為合同項(xiàng)下的預(yù)付款。

WHEREAS according to the terms and conditions of the sales contract No. . . signed between you and name of the Applicant (hereinafter referred to as the Contractor), you shall, on receipt from the Contractor of a bank guarantee for such advance payment to you, make an advance payment of amount in figures and in words to the Contractor as an advance payment thereunder.
NOW THEREFORE, we (name of guarantor) at the request of the Contractor hereby irrevocably issue this Advance Payment Guarantee and undertake to pay you, upon receipt of your written demand stating that the Contractor has failed to perform his obligations as stipulated in the Contract, the sum or sums not exceeding the above-mentioned amount.
Our liability hereunder shall be limited to (the amount of guarantee).
This guarantee shall become effective on the date the Contractor receives the aforesaid advance payment from you and shall remain valid until (the expiry date of this guarantee).
The guaranteed amount shall be automatically and proportionally reduced by the amount which the Contractor has already repaid to you.

1. 第2段中his。英語中常常碰到小知性別的人，如果需要使用物主代詞所有格，通?？捎媚行缘膆is。本文的貸款人既可是法人，也可是自然人。如果確知是自然人，何并不知其性別，這時(shí)通常同時(shí)使用his/her。指法人時(shí)習(xí)慣用his或their，如合同當(dāng)事人任何一方及其繼承人，受讓人：Either party to acontract and his / their successor(s), assignee(s) 。但漢語在指人以外的事物時(shí)習(xí)慣用“該、其”等指示詞并重復(fù)原有名詞，如該廠、其機(jī)器設(shè)備，而很少用代詞“它的，它們的”。
2. 第4段中become effective on the date。表達(dá)何時(shí)生效還有幾個(gè)固定詞組： come into force,come/go into effect, take effect, enter into force, put in/into force，bring into force 等,有人用make force, take force, make effect 是不對的。
