“樓”的英語說法

樓有不同式樣，在中文中統(tǒng)稱樓，要區(qū)別時(shí)就冠以限定詞，如城樓、門樓、鼓樓等。英語則不同，有不同于漢語的表達(dá)法，現(xiàn)將不同的表達(dá)法對(duì)照介紹如下：
1) 樓房，指兩層以上的房屋，一般譯為building或storied building，如：
辦公樓 office building;administration building
教學(xué)樓 classroom building
服務(wù)大樓 service building
主樓 main /central building
公寓樓 apartment building
但大廈、壯觀的大樓則譯成mansion或是high-rise;摩天大廈則譯成 skyscraper。
2) 樓層多譯為story or floor，如：
頂樓 top floor
一樓 first floor 或 ground floor
樓上 upstairs
樓板 floor; floor slab
樓下 downstairs
樓道 corridor; passageway
樓梯平臺(tái) landing
樓梯 stairs; staircase
