除了各種句子成分的分隔現(xiàn)象外，我們有時(shí)還可碰到其他許多分隔現(xiàn)象。例如：謂語本身的分隔，及物動詞與直接賓語的分隔，同位語從句與其所說明的名詞的分隔，甚至動詞不定式(to+動詞原形)和短語介詞本身也可被分隔。

舉例如下：

1. There is no firm evidence to strongly support this viewpoint.

[譯文]沒有確鑿的證據(jù)強(qiáng)有力地支持這一觀點(diǎn)。

[說明]動詞不定式to support被副詞strongly所分隔，不定式只能由一個(gè)副詞分隔，不能用詞組式的狀語分隔。

2. One of the most common infectious diseases in young children is measles, to which some complications such as pneumonia are due.

[譯文]麻疹是幼兒最常見的傳染病之一，它可引起諸如肺炎之類的并發(fā)癥。

[說明]短語介詞due to被定語認(rèn)句的主語和系詞所分隔。

3. It is not easy to accurately define such a complicated condition.

[譯文]為這種復(fù)雜的情況下確切的定義是不容易的。

[說明]動詞不定式to define被副詞accurately所分隔。

4. The effectiveness of the antimicrobial treatment is due in part the natural resistance of the host, which accounts for the destruction of a large proportion of the invading bacteria.

[譯文] 抗菌療法的效果部分是由于宿主的抵抗力，大部分入侵的細(xì)菌被此抵抗力所消滅。

[說明]短語介詞due to被起狀語作用的介詞短語in part所分隔。

5. The fact is often not appreciated, that in normal pregnancy, there is often a reduction in systolic and diastolic pressures, to around 11.97 and 7.93 kPa respectively.

[譯文] 人們往往忽略這一事實(shí)，即正常孕婦的收縮壓和舒張壓常分別下降至11.97與7,98千帕左右. 

[說明]that引導(dǎo)的同位語從句說明名詞the fact，被主句謂語所分隔。
