三、present

present是一個(gè)在醫(yī)學(xué)英語(yǔ)中極為常見(jiàn)的異類異義詞，它的用法和譯法大致如下：

(一）用作形容詞(讀法為[preznt]),有“現(xiàn)在的”“存在的”、“在場(chǎng)的”“本……”等意思。翻譯時(shí)有時(shí)還需按具體情況作恰當(dāng)?shù)奶幚恚ɡ?1-2).

(二）用作動(dòng)詞(讀法為[pri'zent]),—般用作及物動(dòng)詞，也包括分詞，可譯為“提出”“給予”“呈現(xiàn)”“介紹”等，在醫(yī)學(xué)文獻(xiàn)中?？勺g為“報(bào)道”。present oneself 意為“出現(xiàn)”“呈現(xiàn)"（例 3-4).

(三)用作名詞(讀法為['prizent]),可作“現(xiàn)在”“目前”解，也可作“禮物”解(例5-6).

用法和譯法舉例：
