【說明】susceptible譯為漢語動詞“容易遭受”，likely譯為漢語動詞“可能”。

【譯文】老年人特別容易遭受腦損害，而且不大可能完全恢復。

③介詞轉(zhuǎn)換為漢語動詞

英語中介詞或介詞短語用法活躍。若其在句子中起動詞作用，用來表示動作或行為，即可轉(zhuǎn)換為漢語的動詞。

例七： They at last successfully stopped the bleeding and got the patient out of danger.

【說明】out of譯為漢語動詞“脫離”。

【譯文】他們終于成功地止住血，使病人脫離了危險。

例八：It may be that toxic material is absorbed from the burnt area into the general circulation.

【說明】into譯為漢語動詞“進入”。

④副詞轉(zhuǎn)換為漢語動詞

在句子中作表語或賓語補足語的副詞，往往可轉(zhuǎn)換為漢語動詞。

【說明】in譯為漢語動詞“進入”。
